Defending Jewish couple targeted by CAIR-backed lawsuit

The Lawfare Project, together with co-counsel Ken Turkel and David Hayes of Turkel Cuva Barrios Guerra, P.A., defended Gadi Beer and his wife, a Pennsylvania Jewish couple sued after speaking out against anti-Jewish social media posts and sharing a link to an attorney’s publicly available law firm profile.

Former Chartwell Law attorney Zohra Khorashi sued the Beers in July 2025, alleging that they had “doxed” her and interfered with her employment. On November 20, 2025, the court granted in part and denied in part the Beers’ first motion to dismiss, dismissing the complaint without prejudice and allowing Khorashi to amend. Khorashi filed an amended complaint on December 11, 2025, and the Beers filed a renewed motion to dismiss on January 9, 2026.

On August 27, 2026, U.S. District Judge Jacqueline Becerra granted the renewed motion and dismissed all remaining claims. The court dismissed the employment-interference and defamation claims with prejudice and dismissed the conspiracy claim without prejudice, leaving no claims pending in the case.
